I thought I would post a bit about looking after your pets in the summertime. One of our dogs got sunstroke the day before yesterday and has been pooly.
Make sure that if your pets go outside they have an area they can get to that is out of the sun (we did!)
Even though they are in the shade let them in the house in a cool room (or put them in thier kennals) for a few hours.
Water!!! make sure they have plenty of water. (we did but as she got ill she didnt get up and drink)
If your cat is white or your cat or dog as white ears. Put some sun block on the tips of the nose and ears. White cats have sesetive skin and can burn easy. So their ears, top of the nose and the bit between hear and eye that has thin fur (all cats have that) need sunblock.
If they do be come sick just keep them in and give them plenty of water. If they dont pick up with in a day you need to see a vet! Luckly we didnt and darcie is now picking up her ears and looking her usual mischevis self!
