Hey ppl it's good to post here again ;D
I have a question and a prob here:
1.Can an electrical surge kill the motherboard, hhd, ram and cpu in 1 go?
2.I have a headset but I've only just found out that 2 out of the 3 sound holes do not work at all and the one left works with both speakers and microphones. Is this normal and how do i fix it?

answer to question one is yes it can!!! if its big enough. The worse power serge you can have is when your power turns off and then back on. If you have a power cut its best to turn off the plugs before it comes back on. You can pervent a power serge by plugging your pc into a cercite braker, you can buy multi boards (wich I think most pc uses use) that have them built in. They are worth the tenner that they cost. (note to drag!!! take your own advice!!! )
answer to number 2 is.... look at the back of your pc on the plate that covers the openings it should have some little icons, if you plug it in to the head phone socet most cases it over rides your speekers. If you stick your head phones in the speeker socket then your not gonna get sound out of them. You can buy a little spliter so you can plug your head phones and speekers in the speeker socket!! This is best as you dont have to mess around with them... just turn your speekers off when you want to use your head phones!!! hope this has been a help.

Yeah thanks drag, On the first one it happend to this com and the following had to be replaced:
200GB HHD => 80GB HHD 512MB RAM => 256MB RAM 3.2Ghz Intel P4 => 1.25Ghz AMD Athlon
Another motherbaord and £130 fixing charge...
I was just wondering if all that could be due to just a surge lol
